TULSA, Okla. — The Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma has united its tax-credit scholarship efforts under GO for Catholic Schools, closing the Veritas program to streamline giving and expand access to a high-quality, faith-filled education for more families.
“After much prayer and consultation, I have concluded that the best way to serve our students is to dissolve Veritas and renew our support of GO for Catholic Schools as the official tax-credit scholarship fund of the Diocese,” said Bishop David A. Konderla. “By relying on a single fund, we reduce confusion and bring clarity to this critical initiative.”
Since 2012, GO for Catholic Schools has awarded scholarships to more than 9,400 students, channeling over $11 million in tuition assistance—much of it made possible through Oklahoma’s Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act.
Under the new partnership, donors may also direct gifts to the newly created Bishop’s Fund, which Bishop Konderla will allocate to schools addressing special-education needs and urgent tuition gaps.
Triple-Win for Contributors, Schools, and Families
- Up to 75 % Oklahoma income-tax credit for a two-year pledge—worth up to $1,000 for individuals, $2,000 for joint filers, and $100,000 for businesses.
- $50 million in statewide tax credits available each year—funds that otherwise return to the state general fund.
- Every dollar stays local, supporting 13 Catholic schools across northeastern Oklahoma.
